New Signage

The two Wellhead historical signs have now been installed, in addition to the interpretive sign on the Abbey Lawn.

The signs tell you about the importance of St. Peter’s Pool, the Castle and who lived in it, the history behind the Red Hall, including it’s time as part of Bourne railways. There’s information about Baldock’s Mill, the Shippon Barn and the Wellhead Cottage. You’ll also learn about the history of the Memorial Garden and about some of the amazing wildlife that lives on the Wellhead and much, much more.

Thank you to everyone who has helped to bring our wonderful town’s history to life. We hope you enjoy reading all three signs.
